Album Review: Teen Daze “Themes From A New Earth”

Spencer Devine, contributor

I knew from the title of this album I might encounter some obstacles to full enjoyment. “An ambient instrumental album with the optimistic tones of nature?” Maybe that’ll be chill instead of aimless and boring AF, right?

Incorrect. This album was pretty much what I thought it would be coming in. Ambient music assuredly isn’t my cup of tea, but while listening to this album, I felt like I could take off my headphones, put them back on a minute later, and it would sound like the same part of the song.

If you want something relaxing this might fit the bill, I felt way more tired after listening to it. If you like ambient, it’s a casual meandering album with relaxing nature themes, but as for me no individual part stood out, and that’s a deal breaker.

Teen Daze left me in a doze on this one.
