In the recently released "Music Issue" of Savage Henry, we attempted to ask a very difficult question: If you could only take one album with you to a desert island, what would it be? There are many reasons records are significant to a listener. For Leah, she chose a sentimental album of sorts that recalled fond memories of her childhood.

Before you off yourself making it look like an accident, let's dwell on the things you have going for you!

1) no one has flagged your craigslist post about those Bubba Kush cuttings.
2) Your landlord isn't upset about that guy's peel out spots yet.

Singer Amy Winehouse was found dead yesterday in her home in London. She was 27. While no cause of death is currently known, many suspect that it is somehow related to her long and arduous struggle with various drugs and alcohol.

Former Skid Row front man Sebastian Bach is ready to rock! His new album "Kicking & Screaming" is set to be released worldwide on September 27th.

If you think for a minute that the 43 year old singer is slowing down, you're sadly mistaken.

I just drove halfway through America. Here’s what I learned:

1) There are vegetables in the middle of America, just not at restaurants.

2) You will be the only person with tattoos in the state of Utah at any given time.

3) Wal-Mart is GOD to people yonder East.

4) Eyeballing outsiders is the most popular sport in rural Nevada.

5) America is totally good looking. I’m going to ask it to prom.

Local band The Nucleus will be playing their first show in over a year this Friday, July 8th at The Jambalaya.

I spoke with drummer Pete Ciotti and asked him why it had been so long since they had performed. "We are all family guys with wives and kids and are also just busy living life," he said. He continued, "We all still love playing together so I don't think we'll ever be officially done. This it has been such a big part of who we are an who we have become."

In the recent episode of the web series "Compatish," friend of the magazine and current ranking Compatish champion, Paul Danke, shows what wearing a Savage Henry T-shirt can do for you.

Guests Brandi from Humboldt Fire rolling papers and musician Beral Alexander join Josh and Chris in the studio.

Beral plays some songs, including "It's Summertime."

Talk Like A Pirate Day will be a little less interesting around the Eureka Police Department since the city fired its chief of four years Friday.

Garr Nielsen was shocked by the sudden decision, according to comments in a Saturday Times-Standard article.

The article cited “differences in management styles” from a termination notice by City Manager David Tyson.

Management styles huh?

First off, let me address the variations of times and cover charges that caused havoc and surprised some patrons. I apologize. I hope the T-Shirt giveaway eased some of that pain.
