Paul Danke – Dank

To say this is not a music review is a disservice because Paul Danke’s jokes are music to my ears.

Danke released his semi self-titled debut comedy record Dank on A Special Thing records this month and his freewheelin’, off the cuff style makes it feel like you’re hanging out with a friend on a road trip. No, not that friend….the funny one.

With a track list written like a comedy set list, all one word track names, it makes you feel like you’re in the room with him. I looked around a few times because I thought the people laughing on the CD were actually standing behind me as I sat at my computer.

The album cover looks like Kanye and Kim were the art directors on it, with self described Hunk (track 2) atop a motorcycle in the desert. Classic Danke.
