I have never been more confused by an album.
There’s instrumental interludes that become sweeping rock ballads. There’s dirty, grinding stereophonic electronica that leads into quiet jaunts along the chromatic scale. The voice sounds like the lead singer of Cake got punched in the throat, but is backed up by some absolutely wonderful harmonies. I then remembered as I listened to Slim Twig’s album for the third, joyful time, I really like being confused sometimes. It reminds me to embrace new things.
Try this album on for size. I think you’ll like the fit.
